FAQ’s

Is Cosmetic Tattooing Painful?

At Rose Clinic Perth,We use a highly effective numbing cream and gel, specially formulated by a local pharmacist, to ensure maximum comfort. These numbing agents are applied before and during the procedure to minimise any discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as painless or similar to plucking eyebrow hairs.

Nano Brows vs. Microblading – Which is Better?

Nano Brows are the latest and most advanced cosmetic tattooing technique, suitable for all skin types, including oily, sensitive, and tanned skin—whereas microblading is not recommended for these skin types. Nano Brows also last longer, typically requiring a touch-up every 12 to 18 months, compared to 8 to 12 months for microblading. Additionally, Nano Brows use an ultra-fine needle, resulting in less trauma to the skin.

Can Cosmetic Tattooing Cause Eyebrow Hair Loss?

No, cosmetic tattooing does not cause hair loss. Whether it's microblading, Nano Brows, or powder brows, the procedure is performed at the epidermis level (the top layer of the skin). Eyebrow hair grows from the dermis (the deeper layer where hair follicles are located), meaning the tattooing process does not interfere with or damage the hair follicles when performed by a skilled and experienced artist.

Is Cosmetic Tattooing Suitable for Me?

Cosmetic tattooing is an excellent solution for individuals with thin, sparse, uneven, or patchy eyebrows. It is also suitable for those who have lost eyebrow hair due to over-plucking, medical conditions such as alopecia, or treatments like chemotherapy. At Rose Clinic, we specialise in creating natural-looking results that enhance your unique facial features.

What to Expect on the Day of the Treatment?
  • Upon arrival at Rose Clinic, we warmly welcome you and begin with a consultation to discuss your desired outcome, expectations, and colour preferences.

    1. We pre-draw your eyebrow shape using precise measuring tools to complement your unique face structure. You can request modifications until we achieve the perfect shape.

    2. A numbing cream is applied for approximately 20 minutes.

    3. We select a pigment that matches your natural eyebrow hair and skin tone.

    4. During the procedure, additional numbing gel is applied if necessary.

    5. Once the treatment is complete, we provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results.

What to Expect After a Cosmetic Tattoo Treatment?

Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will appear darker and more intense for the first three days. From days 3 to 12, the color will gradually lighten as the skin heals. Over the next two weeks, the true color will emerge as the pigment settles.
A touch-up session is recommended between 4 to 6 weeks after the initial treatment to perfect the results and ensure long-lasting color retention.
